Maple Cinnamon – If New England and Texas ever got together to make the ultimate pecan pie, we like to think it would taste a lot like our Maple Cinnamon Peanut & Pecan Butter, which is handmade with High-Oleic Runner peanuts, Organic Texas pecans, Organic Vermont maple syrup, cinnamon, and hand-harvested Jacobsen sea salt. This uncommonly delicious, warmly spiced nut butter allows each marquee ingredient to sing in beautiful harmony with the small-batch roasted peanuts and pecans. A favorite with kids and adults alike, Maple Cinnamon is amazing on toast, stirred into oatmeal, and spread thickly on fresh apple slices.

Peanut Pecan – The quintessential Southern nut butter, our Peanut Pecan Butter was the first nut butter made by the fledgling Big Spoon Roasters in our co-founders Mark & Megan’s home kitchen in the fall of 2010. Combining the rich, buttery sweetness of slow-roasted Organic Texas pecans, High-Oleic Runner peanuts, raw Organic wildflower honey, and Jacobsen sea salt, this recipe was an instant hit at the local NC farmers’ markets and was named “one of the seven best things we tasted in 2011” by the editors of Food & Wine. Bourbon PecanAfter a run as one of our most popular Limited Batch nut butters of all time, Bourbon Pecan Peanut Butter is back as a member of our permanent lineup! Each small batch of this nut butter is handcrafted with fresh-roasted High-Oleic Runner peanuts, bourbon-roasted pecans, Organic Vermont maple syrup, Organic cocoa butter, bourbon whiskey, applewood smoked salt, and Jacobsen sea salt. We especially love Bourbon Pecan Peanut Butter with morning toast, overnight oats, fresh apple slices, and of course, in spoonfuls right out of the jar. 

Lum Lum Thai Curry – 2024 Good Food Award Winner This nut butter saves tigers! We’ve partnered with local nonprofit, Carolina Tiger Rescue, to donate proceeds from each jar sold to fund their education and advocacy work around wildlife habitat preservation and stopping the destruction of the palm oil industry. Lum Lum Thai Curry Peanut & Cashew Butter is handmade with High-Oleic Runner peanuts, Organic Fair Labor cashews, Hubs Virginia XL peanuts (for extra crunch), Organic coconut nectar, Thai Red Curry spice blend, and Jacobsen sea salt. Accented with galangal and lemongrass, the spice blend at the heart of this nut butter also includes red chiles, coriander, paprika, lime peel, garlic, and shallots, all of which are freshly milled and hand-blended by our friends at The Spice House. In Northern Thailand, “lum lum” is slang for “delicious,” and we think it’s the perfect way to describe this special Limited Batch nut butter!

Sweet Heat – Southern Living Magazine Food Award Winner Like hot honey and pepper jelly, Sweet Heat Peanut Butter offers the fun interplay of sweetness and heat that will keep you coming back for more. Formerly called “Hot Mamba” in reference to the spicy peanut butters of Haiti and the greater Caribbean, Sweet Heat blends fresh-roasted High-Oleic Runner peanuts, dried Guajillo, Ancho & Habanero chiles, raw Organic cane sugar, and Jacobsen sea salt to create a perfectly balanced spread as intense as it is addictive. We especially love Sweet Heat Peanut Butter paired with apricot jam or marmalade on crusty bread or toasted English muffins. Combine it with your favorite pepper jelly on slices of banana for an eye-opening appetizer or make it a base for a spicy dipping or noodle sauce; just add coconut milk, lemongrass, ginger, cilantro, and whatever else floats your peanut sauce boat.

This West Coast-inspired almond butter is handmade with heirloom Mission almonds, crunchy whole California pistachios, Organic Vermont maple syrup, and a touch of Jacobsen sea salt. The velvety result offers the perfect amount of crunch and feels like a warm summer breeze dancing through sky-high palm trees (but perfect for every season). We love this nut butter as part of any brunch spread or cheese board, smeared thickly on sandwiches, or eaten straight from the jar.

Vanilla Latte – Our go-to coffee order got a makeover in our new espresso nut butter collaboration with Michigan-based Madcap Coffee! Vanilla Latte Almond Butter emulates the smooth, comforting layers of espresso, your favorite milk, and vanilla, made spreadable. The base of heirloom Mission almonds is accented with the sweetness of Organic maple syrup and Ugandan Bourbon vanilla that round out the boldness of Madcap’s flagship Eureka Espresso, balanced by touches of Organic virgin coconut oil and Jacobsen sea salt.  We love Vanilla Latte spread on toast, swirled in smoothies, paired with fresh apples and berries, or as a delicious treat straight from the spoon. Chai Spice -Bon Appetit Magazine Highly Recommend The story of Chai Spice Peanut & Almond Butter starts with the 2012 wedding of our co-founders, Mark and Megan. Mark invented the concept of a nut butter blended with chai spices as a fusion of some of his favorite things (nuts) and Megan’s (masala chai tea). Our Chai Spice Peanut & Almond Butter combines American agriculture in the form of High-Oleic Runner peanuts and heirloom Mission almonds with traditional tea spices of the Indian subcontinent, where “chai” is simply a word for “tea” in Hindi. Like gumbo in Louisiana or peach pie in Georgia, there are as many spiced tea recipes in India.

Carrot Cake – Made with lightly toasted English walnuts, heirloom Mission almonds, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, maple syrup, and Jacobsen sea salt, Carrot Cake Almond & Walnut Butter is like decadent, spreadable carrot cake in a jar, but it’s vegan, has no refined sugar, and contains only heart-healthy fats. We recommend adding this nut butter to creamy overnight oats made with tart yogurt and topped with carrot shreds for the full carrot-cake experience.

Lemon Cookie2023 NC Specialty Food Association Award Winner This enchantingly bright nut butter is like spreadable lemon coconut cookies in a jar, hence the name change from “Lemon Coconut” to Lemon Cookie in March 2024.
